When you sign up as a brand or retailer on Serai, we collect basic business information (business name, GST number, address, bank details for payouts) and the contact details of your account's authorized representative (name, email, phone). When you place or fulfil orders, we record order, product, and shipping details necessary to process the transaction.
We use your information to operate the marketplace: matching retailers with brands, processing orders, calculating net-30 payment due dates and brand payout schedules, verifying business credentials during onboarding, and communicating order and account updates to you.
Payments on Serai are processed by Razorpay, our payment partner. We do not store your card or bank account credentials — Razorpay handles payment collection and payout disbursement under its own security and compliance standards. We retain transaction references (order IDs, payment status, payout status) needed to reconcile your account.
We share retailer shipping and contact details with the brand fulfilling an order, and we share order and payment status with both parties to a transaction. We do not sell your data to third parties. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect the integrity of the platform.
We retain account and transaction records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet accounting, tax, and legal obligations under Indian law.
You can review and update your business profile information at any time from your dashboard. To request deletion of your account or data, contact us using the details on our Contact page.
